Subject: Cavs merged with VLC
Which part of the statement causes the laughter?
Cavs 29 team not strong? They did pretty well at Club Nationals in Orlando.
Coaches not strong? 2 former D1 lax players with strong NOVA roots? You could argue that the 3rd assistant from last year is everything that is wrong with lacrosse, but the 2 new assistants will make up for it.
Are the Cavs 30 and Cavs 31 teams much stronger than 29? Haven't seen those age groups compete nearly as often.
Was the VLC 29 team even around last year? Didn't see them in any tournaments.
Trying to find the humor, as an insider, please enlighten the rest of us.

Cavs 2029 team is already strong, and will be a plug and play for VLC. The 30 & 31 Cavs teams will do the same, but neither of those years is as strong as the 29.
The move also consolidates strong coaches, which are becoming in even shorter supply in the region for boys players. More and more programs going the Dad coaching route.
This is a great move for VA lacrosse, and improves competition for the entire region.
As a parent of a kid on the 2029 team… hahahahah

So they are adding the Cavs 2025 players to this mix and going "over the top"? I had thought the Cavs didn't field a 2025 team recently?

wow. Those Cav players must be great. So you are saying Academy, Cavs and new Coaches and they are better than ML 2025, NL 2025 and DCE 2025 and why not add 91 Fire. Don't see it happening! You actually have to play those teams as well.

I know they are better than MadLax at this point and should certainly hang with NextLevel and Express these days. Couple more players coupled with their new coach and his training will put this team over the top

Cav parent who’s son made VLC. Cav was slightly more than VLC and cost much less than Hammers.
