Presumably he wasn’t under contract for the movie and didn’t want to be in it. I guess they didn’t feel they could kill two husbands in a row.

I agree. My best friend and I went to see it, but only as a completer.
Me again. I just saw the trailer for this one, and it looks much better!

I'm excited that we'll get to to see the villa in the south of France and learn about the Dowager's past romance. I wonder if Lord Grantham's tan came from shooting in the S. of France, or if the storyline will explain that he was away somewhere warm and then returned.
