It does suck, but what sucks more is that said acts are only reserved for special occasions. If you know your partner likes something (and you also like it enough to do it) why treat it like a gift? Sex is not a gift and is a cop out. But like many married men, they’ll happily take what they can get.

Roses delivered on Saturday (I loved having them early), dinner delivered yesterday and money transferred into my separate account (we have a joint account and each have our "fun" accounts--both names on all accounts but you get the idea) to do with what I please.

When we were first married he did far less and I was honest that it hurt my feelings. We've learned to share our feelings honestly and to do our best to act on what the other one would like.
