Looks very immature, trashy and unserious compared to say...
I dare you to send your kid into your local public school wearing that outfit.
LOL +1
My magnet kid in public school isn't suffering for wearing nice sweatpants to school. DS sometimes wear jeans, too, but lately, he's been into his looks to impress a girl.Prior to this, it was 100% active wear pants and a hoodie. He doesn't have PJ pants. He wears his shorts to bed.

Anonymous wrote:Yep, that's how they dress in our MCPS HS. I don't see anything really wrong with it. It's school, not a formal business. I prefer functional/comfortable over "look nice".
As long as they are clean, and not showing too much skin, their underwear, I don't see an issue, especially since it's winter and cold.

My teen girl does wear them pretty often but my teen boy only wears athletic pants and, if those are all in the wash, cargo pants. My girl wears a mix of Keene, joggers and occasionally her school logo PJ pants (which she has never worn to bed so they are functionally just sweats).
There are quite a bit of more mature options in-between literal pajamas and jeans. Frankly, these kids look like dirtball slobs who don't give a sh*t about themselves or how they look. It's actually disrespectful.

Yes, it is unserious compared to the dress in that photo. Good thing serious isn't what these kids are going for.
(Also I have to applaud the carefully crafted diversity in that photo.)
