That kid didn't apply RMIB. The parents said (or heard rumors) that RMIB got watered down and lost a couple of good teachers in recent years.

PP said DC got into Blair with MAP-M 293, MAP-R 248. It makes sense that they look at MAP-M more because of the math/science curriculum. DC could also be in-boundary.

How many total kids are in MCPS 8th grade? What is the acceptance rate for Blair Magnet and RMIB?

The point of the IB is that there is no difference. Possibly some schools offer more HL choices than others, or different SL electives but that's also subject to interest. The core programs are the same.

Oh PP again- actually Global has to be higher than 90- I can remember what they said. I do remember 85 though for Humanities.
