I’m 62 and also love WTF, which I just recently got. I hesitated for a long time due to reviews and inability to try it before buying. I was able to go the Jones Road store in Greenwich Village a month ago and try it out and liked it enough that I bought it. After a month of use I can say that it is even better than I thought it would be. It gives me very light, very natural looking “coverage” (it doesn’t really cover, it more evens things out, maybe blurs a bit) that does not settle into fine lines at all, even after a full day of wear, moisturizes, imparts a lovely glow. I can use it all over my face which I had long since stopped doing with foundations. As for any stickiness, I’d say it’s important to know that a little goes a very long way, and to the extent that it might feel a touch tacky on my skin, it feels like moisture to me. I’m ok with that.

Now that I’ve tried and used WTF as well as the Miracle Balms and the Face Pencils, I have concluded that at least with respect to those foundational products, Jones Road is definitely not for everyone. It’s not going to provide a look that is like what most makeup lines provide. In fact, it took me some time to adjust my eye to it. It’s not like any other makeup line I’ve ever used. But that is the thing - to me it feels forward looking, and innovative in a way that really serves me well.

I promise I’m not affiliated with Jones Road in any way! I just have always loved makeup and am really enjoying this new to me line.

I have miracle balm but I am very fair . I wouldn’t use any all over . Then I discovered the WTF foundation and it is wonderful -I’m 64 and it hydrates really well - I still use the balms for contouring and blush . Love these products. Large pores on nose so use a primer

I do not like miracle balm, the skin oil, or the foundation. I do like the lip and cheek tint, and the lip balm and the single eyeshadows are nice.

I asked to return the MB. Bundle and they told me to keep it and would get the refund. That’s seems odd

I bought the miracle balm in bronze and I too felt it was like Vaseline, but now that it’s winter, I do appreciate the extra moisture and it’s great as a lip gloss and on the cheeks. I don’t notice a smell, or at least nothing that bothers me. The makeup brushes are excellent. Totally worth getting. I previously had Chanel brushes and the Jones Road brushes are much better quality. The eyeshadows are amazing. They stay on all day. The light moisture cream is great too.

Ordered Tawny and Happy Hour. Both smell bad, bad, bad, like a very strong waxy, processed, unatural smell -- something I can't even stand on my face. Didn't really feel or look like a miracle either. I'm bummed because I really wanted to love it.

Fortunately, I was able to get a refund without shipping back the product. Sadly, I'll have to polute the environment because I cannot think of anything else to do with it except throw it in the trash.

Different strokes for different folks, so here's what did and didn't work for me - 49 years old, fair skin, dirty blonde/gray curly hair, "spring" (anyone else "get their colors done" in high school?!) -

Yes: light moisture cream (love in winter), oil free moisturizer (for fall/spring but too heavy for summer), miracle balm (golden hour - love on cheeks, tip of nose and eyelids), best pencil in onyx (slightly shimmery and now the only pencil I'll ever use)

No: lip tint (cocoa rose, nude rose and black cherry - none of the colors worked and I found it bled off my lips), sparkle wash in gilded (HARD NO! more sparkly than a Taylor Swift concert!), universal hair balm (didn't do anything)

So-so: mascara (I like the wand but there's nothing special about the product), cleansing stick (it's fine. I mostly use it when traveling as it's not a liquid), hippie stick (I couldn't figure out where/when to use it so I gave it to my 80 year old mother and she likes to swipe it across her face! We like the scent), miracle balm in flushed (kind of looks like what I recall Nars Orgasm looking like)

I'm not a huge makeup person, but I have an affinity for Bobbi Brown and find her middle aged models aspirational!

I got suckered too by the Perbelle ads. I have to admit that I love it. It works for me. My routine is perbelle followed by the jones road MB. (Apparently I’m a sucker for a lot of social media ads.)

I have 2 shades of miracle balm and really like it. I haven’t noticed any smell with it.

I have super dry skin and ordered the miracle balm. It smells bad. However it does make my skin less dry. I got the Au Naturel so it has no glitter. I use the magic hour on my eye lids (does have glitter) but again- very moisturizing. But the smell bothers me.

I do like the mascara and hippie stick.

Jones Road Miracle Balm stinks something awful. It’s smells like formaldehyde. The stench doesn’t go away either. No man would ever kiss a woman smelling of that crap, and it didn’t do a blessed thing for me. It’s just Crisco grease rubbed on without covering anything. Don’t waste your money on this horrid stuff. STENCH!!! STENCH!!! STENCH!!!!

I got suckered into the many ads in my social media for miracle balm. It’s not worth the money. I got the “magic hour” and it’s 1) so sticky and great. Do not even think of blow drying your hair for at least 30 min after application. It will stick to your face 2) it’s so sheer and then you still have to blot the stuff because it’s so greasy. 3) I can only speak to magic hour but it literally left glitter on my face.

I cannot get over how a product marketed to women of a certain age has actual glitter nuts in it. The greasy finally dries and all I see are little sparkle flecks on my face. WTF? Who can actually use this stuff?

It's online only.
That is a downside.
You can send a selfie and they will help you with color suggestions, but isn't the same as trying something on in the store and seeing if you actually like it.

Is Jones Road sold at stores or only online? I don't like buying makeup or skincare online unless it's something I've used before . I usually shop at Bloomingdales but it doesn't look like the Chevy Chase store carries it.
