Definitely a Barnes and Noble. I used to study there all the time.

Loved Au Pied de Cochon, and miss how you could decide, last minute, to head to Georgetown and (gasp) find actual street parking where you were going!

Garrett's. Lovely bathrooms.

As others mentioned, the Biograph and the Foundry theaters.

I also miss Nathan's and The Guard.

I remember when it was first opened.

About the time my buddies and I would head to Nathan's to pick up cougars.

The Guards was where a lot of Capitol Hill staffers hung out (back when it did not matter if you were a R or D).

Then there was the smoky bar underneath the Guards or closeby the power players hung out.

But Music City Roadhouse was the classic place to hang out in Georgetown. Cheap beer and easy women.

My childhood home was right across the street from Western High School.

Does anyone here go that far back - to Western High?

First place I had Foie Gras. Then a rat ran across the floor.

Missed the rat. But a woman in her late 40s came to our table (was on a date), and performed her belly-dance for us, then expected a tip. She had the whole get up; Harem pants, coin belt.

It was awkward and awesome at the same time. Def memorable!
