The average age of a covid death is what,74? Which is similar to life expectancy. Most deaths were before vaccines.

Being concerned about covid deaths for kids at school and their teachers (unless elderly) is dumb.

Serious question. Should we have to mask our kids and quarantine them forever because 900k people died? If so, we need to eliminate processed foods for snacks because 600k people die from heart disease annually and no one seems to care.

Heart disease is not a highly communicable upper respiratory virus that spreads between people in the air. You all sure come up with strange comparisons.

Do you really not care that our country has the highest death rate of any wealthy nations or that we are about to pass the one million mark of COVID deaths? Do you not see the graphics and wish we were down there with Japan or Australia? How are people so complacent about this?

My parents are 74 and it would devastate me if they passed from COVID.

It’s not just about kids in schools, it about how each small decision causes larger ripple effects in society.

A teacher at our school has two children too young to be vaccinated. About half of the students are umasked in class. She wears an N95 + surgical mask to teach young elementary students. But ‘Mericuh! Thank you Catholic education.

Schools should not make their own policies during a pandemic, that should be left to public health experts and agencies.

Health experts and schools don’t and should have the same priorities.

My kids are in a private school that opened in fall 2020 too. It wasn’t just Catholic schools, as you all regularly seem to be suggesting.

the catholics opened right after labor day 2020. I can't think of any other privates that did? a bunch were wimps and waited another month or two to see what happened with the catholics, which was...nothing. but if yours opened labor day 2020 then cool - you're at the right place! but everyone else was screaming about what idiots the catholic schools were to open. just like now everyone is screaming about what idiots they are for dropping masks and quarantine. but keep screaming while your kids languish in quarantine hell! of 3 kids in catholic since sept 2020, only one kid has been quarantined for 3 days total.
