Neither because it’s awful.

I will eat all your tapioca.

Chocolate, vanilla, or rice - all better hot, like just a few minutes off the stove. Bread - I eat it warm out of impatience but then when I eat the cold leftovers I’m reminded how much better it is out of the fridge.

It is delicious hot! Particularly the chocolate for some reason - it reminds me of the thick chocolate used to dip churros in.
I often make the recipe in Joy, but there are many out there -- cornstarch pudding is really easy:

The recipes that are a real custard with eggs are also delicious, but they are a little fussy when all I really want is a quick chocolate fix.

I love it hot! My mom made chocolate cream pies and coconut cream pies for holidays and I loved getting a tiny warm cup of it fresh off the stove. I made some during the pandemic and it was terrific.

When it is cold and wet there is nothing like vanilla pudding hot off the stove. Now, if it lasts long enough to actually be cold, it tastes great that way as well, but you have to make more.

Do it! It is so so good.

I also hate it. Too slimy.

I love cold pudding. Never had hot, but I don’t like the idea of it.
