Thanks for defending us. I am just a genuinely happy parent who thinks other people deserve to know what a great job FKES is doing, in case it might also be able to help their kid. I do not work for MCPS and have no personal benefit to derive from telling OP that this school has done my family a lot of good. And I hope others have similar stories to tell about their own ESs, because one thing I think we can all agree upon is that kids deserve the best possible school for them.

Obviously, schools change: staff members move around, principals leave for other positions, kids grow up and graduate. But right this moment we are so grateful to be where we are.

DP. I will highly recommend Forest Knolls ES. It has a great staff, excellent teachers, and a very involved parent community. And it should have homes in your price range. There's also a neighborhood swim club.

_Extremely_ strong second for Forest Knolls! I have more than one DC with unique needs and FKES has been fantastic with all of them, even across staff turnovers. K teacher there was a complete game-changer for one SN kid, too. Plus the community in both the school and the neighborhood is just terrific. We're so happy to have the chance to raise our family here.

The same services are offered at all MCPS schools. They even have the same teachers and curriculums. There is little to no difference.
