The airport has become increasing dangerous. Guns are carried openly and the aggression of grabbing bags and demanding huge tips has gotten out of control. Its not a situation I would go into with a child unless there is someone with muscles bringing you through the chaos.
Hi - the hotel would send transportation to get us.
I would see if they can have some waiting RIGHT when you pass the “no returns” security checkpoint. Make sure it’s someone willing to protect guests.
Getting from security to the airport van is the very most dangerous part of the trip. Do everything you can to get out of that airport as fast as possible - no checked luggage, etc

It was a guest that did the shooting. A Canadian so pretty sure he wasn’t in the Mexican drug cartel.
