Hard to believe there is anywhere where a 9 year old Lexus would stand out. Maybe if you are moving to rural Michigan and everyone drives Fords out of loyalty to the US auto industry, but even that's changed with the cross ownership of so many car brands. At one point Ford owned Volvo and even Ford execs drove Volvos.

I would not trade in a car I was otherwise not interested in trading in just cause I was moving. Like everyone has said you don't need a dealer for service so that doesn't really matter. I used to take my Lexus to my local garage because it was way more convenient than any of the many nearby dealerships.
