You haven’t seen root beer in years? Who are you people?

Np, I've seen it on the shelves in stores and fountain soda but I don't remember the last time I saw anyone drink it.

Yes. It is popular among my teen’s friends. Root beer and orange soda seem to be the favorites I see.

I keep sugar free root beer stocked in our house at all times. It's great with a little bit of cream.

I prefer cream soda, which can be found in grocery stores and Jewish delis!

It's a child's drink.

I did a little googling and it looks like in the US, root beer is in the top 20 but not top 10 drinks.

Peanut butter and jam sandwiches on the other hand…

Wegmans does a decent diet root beer, $.75 for a 2 liter. We get it for the kids occasionally as a treat.

It is readily available in nearly every mainstream grocery store in the United States. So, yes. It is popular.

I grew up in the 1980s and 1990s and root beer was already a niche drink back then. It was around and I remember drinking it a few times. It was one of the few if not only "fancy" soft drink in that there were still a few specialist producers of root beer not affiliated with either Coke or Pepsi.

ordering small batch craft root beer on tap sounds pretty white.

Well, root beer in general, is pretty “white”

Well, the United States in general is pretty "white"

Now I really want a root beer float. I can’t even remember the last time I had one.

Isn't it originally an Indigenous American thing?
