Exactly! As a director, this is how I'm reading the "will you have a zoom meet on a snow day." I would HOPE my teacher would say no - politely, but no.

I don't see why it's nervy for a mom to ask. I'm a teacher, and I would politely say no, but I think that parents, especially parents of the kids who weren't in school before the pandemic, are still trying to sort out what's what.

+1. I could see myself asking this, and assuming it was just a simple question - not intended to guilt the teacher. (But also, taking a mental note that it is be a bad idea to ask.)
Just say no, I don't think the mom will give it another thought.

I teach music at local school.
We had several kids over the weeks quarantine for COVID cases, and had to miss school.
One dad asked us if we could schedule some Saturdays for the kids to come in and ‘make up for the days we missed, since we’re paying for it.’
