oh we have them. I just want more of the classmates to have them. Most are still in cloth masks.
Focus on your own kids and their masks. Please let other parents manage their own child.
This. I’m fine with my kids in cloth masks. You do what works for you and let other parents do what works for them. TYVM
But your choices impact my kids. As well as all the kids in the school. There's enough data out there showing cloth masks aren't very good at protection from omicron (see Leana Wen's most recent op-ed)
Not if your child’s masks is as effective as you claim it to be. You knew the risks and chose in person- deal with it.

Oh quit it with that nonsense. Lots of choices that other families make affect your kids. Do you complain when kids eat breakfast in the classroom? They are eating unmasked and that affects your kid way more than my kid in a 3-layer cloth mask.
If you are THAT concerned about your kid catching Covid (which is fine, do what works for you), then you should have chosen virtual academy.
Or is this just about how you want to be able to control everything that everyone else does?

My kid loves the KN95s and KF94s and refuses to wear any of the cloth ones. They're much more comfortable and don't collapse onto your face/mouth.
(And by the way, they can be worn for at least 5 days as long as they don't get wet or dirty. The material is tested to last like 200 days, actually, but the fit will start getting looser after around 5-10 days of use.)
Also, this site (very reputable brand and supplier, with anti-counterfeiting verification) is letting me load an order of 100,000 into my cart, so it doesn't seem like supply is an issue: https://bonafidemasks.com/powecom-kn95-sm-respirator-mask-10-masks-per-pack/
That is really gross to have them wear it for 5 days.

Why the preference for cloth? My family tried lots of cloth masks and it was harder to talk & breath in them. We all prefer Powecon. Others really like KF94.
Partly because all these disposable masks are absurdly wasteful and we’ve got at least several months left of mask mandates. And I suspect we’d have to try multiple kinds to find one that has a proper for to be worthwhile for my small ES student. By then this wave will be over and it won’t matter. Just pushing through for a few weeks.

Not in micromanaging I’m in your business and know better than you MOCO.
Noone is saying they know better. But we do know some things that work - outdoor lunch, testing, better masks. The school system should provide them, like they do breakfast and lunch, but they cannot. So if a PTA is able to mobilize and hand out masks, what is the issue? Especially when (1) most schools are yellow (2) very few want virtual.

Ok, so if these masks are so great and protective for the wearer, why can’t you just be satisfied with YOUR child wearing them? Everyone takes them off for lunch anyway. I’m sticking with what my 5yo will actually wear all day, but could care less if you want to upgrade for your own children.
