I can't imagine there weren't lawsuits after snowmaggedon. I left work early and almost got trapped. Anyone that left when the Federal government allowed was in a bad spot.

I can verify this - during the pandemic my husband had to report for shift work at 4:30am and they wouldn't make the call before he had to leave.

Have there ever been any lawuits for forcing employees to report when roads were unsafe to use? Seems like making people choose between a car wreck and employment is a disaster waiting to happen.

My DH works onsite and for his sake I hope they close again. Our neighborhood street is usually plowed relatively quickly as it’s a school bus route but it hasn’t yet, which makes me think a lot of other roads haven’t yet either. But I know if the govt is open he will try his hardest to get out to the main road. Even a delay would be better as he always leaves by 6am and it is going to be icy!

Nope, it varies wildly. They announced at 10PM yesterday.
