No guidance on masking?! The school didn’t tell the students they need to wear masks? Or simply stated a “well- fitting mask”?
Our school is similar. We were asked to wear "surgical masks." No testing. Stern words about students who don't comply with masking having to move to virtual learning. Stay home if sick. That's about it. I am fine with this approach, because testing is just disruptive for what is now less mild than the common cold.

Woods Academy tested Friday and because of the results are pushing the first day of return to Wednesday instead of this Monday.
Won't make any difference!! Other infections will occur. Are they testing again before Wednesday? If not, you do realize there will likely be more infections. This is a joke.

Our Savior Lutheran School (Arlington) is open- masks same as before no change in protocol. Windows open. Outside lunch.

No. Data not shared except to say school had enough faculty sick that would not be able to start Monday.

I do agree with this, now with omicron. It’s almost like we should be testing at least three times a week at school, or home testing prior to coming, or not test at all unless there are symptoms. There will be many asymptomatic cases that are sent home. I feel like the one test a week is the middle ground now and doesn’t serve a real purpose.

This is all meaningless unless schools are consistently testing. You can test negative on Sunday, and be positive on Monday. Really need to be testing daily, or every couple of days.

I don’t know about pushback but I agree it is odd and really out of line with what other area schools are doing according to what has been shared on this thread.
