But that would involve some empathy and critical thought and not just laughing at and dismissing it out of hand ala Marie Antoinette. Far out of the realm of possibility for many of the boomer narcissists on here

Here’s the subreddit, so people can check it out for themselves. https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/

It’s subheading on Reddit begins “…for those who want to end work…”

I’m not a boomer and not at all bothered by the anti work movement but some of you are really misunderstanding it.

That’s not what the anti work movement is, though. They are explicitly not about work reforms or increased worker rights-they don’t think people should have to work if they don’t want to-I think it’s tied to the ubi movement. What you’re describing is completely different.

Um, you must be joking or extremely clueless about the movement. LOL just stating open lies now?

I don’t know what to tell you, friend! Do some more research.

How about you take your own advice, lying boomer clown? What an idiot of massive proportions.

This is embarrassing. I’m not even anti anti-work and am pro ubi! It’s slogan is abolish work, ffs.

You seem genuinely clueless, and for that I feel bad for you. Still, everyone, no matter their intellectual level, should at least ATTEMPT to research or understand something before spouting off nonsense. Good luck. Maybe youre senile

NP. How old are you?

How old are you?

Lol yikes, you just answered my question

And so did you!

People who are enmeshed in and succeeding in the current status quo have an active reason to preserve the current conditions. They dont want to see things change so the 18 year old from Kentucky doesnt have to work two jobs to barely make rent. They dont want to see the single mom who's making $8 at a fast food job and can barely pay for formula get into a better situation. They just want to keep getting their middle class check and getting good service at their local italian joint, and leaving a 15% tip. it's pathological selfishness.

This is akin to the abolish police movement-they are happy with reforms but in no way see it as sufficient. What is hard to understand about that?

So this was why I had to wait for a table for 30 minutes last night, and it took 40 minutes to get drinks.

Interesting, I think capitalism is to blame bc if these people had unions and any level of workers rights, we wouldn't be hearing of people quitting because of toxic work environments.

800,000+ people have died due to covid and corporations profits are at all time highs. It's a good time to unite around workers rights and fatten the middle class again.

But anyway. I think you're a troll so Idek why I responded.

The founder of the subreddit said in an interview in November that it is not primarily about reform but about rethinking work and changing things so people can work less or not at all. Look it up!

Okay. And from this you got that they are opposed to work reforms?

I’m a huge fan and I hope it has an impact on employers. I like working but I don’t wanna do it more than 20 hours a week. And I want a decent salary for that time.

unionized.

No, this literally is an outcome of late stage capitalism.
