It is not the positivity rate in the general population.

The more we quarantine and refuse to allow ourselves to get a mild cold which is essentially symptoms for kids when fully vax, the LONGER this whole thing is going to drag.

DCPS is requiring test results before determining if a school can return in person. I would be curious to see what the threshold is for DCPS. Does anyone know what threshold the Nova schools will use or will classes switch to virtual only if teachers must isolate/quarantine and no sub is available?
Are those percentages for positivity rates? Alexandria City is already at 20% positivity so seems highly likely student positivity rates would be quite high and spread will be exponential by bringing students back into buildings (not to mention ACPS doesn’t allow outdoor lunch universally). I honestly think we’ll be at 40-50% positivity in a matter of weeks.

You are a vile pig. I pray your kids don't grow up like you.
I’m a different poster and one who hopes schools do not close. However, you are exactly what is wrong with our country. To call someone such an awful, nasty name. To fat shame. To lash out in rage over a strangers post. What are YOUR kids learning?
Here’s an idea - Calm the fuk down. You’re not helping by adding to the collective nastiness. Understand that people can hold different opinions. It really is ok.
+1 Well said. The first poster is why I'm embarrassed to tell people I live in Alexandria.
You should be more embarassed that you surround yourself with privileged, white ladies of leisure that have oodles of welath becase their great grandparents held POC in bondage.
But you probably don't want to talk about that, do you?
Go cry about it somewhere else. Who the hell cares what someone's great-grandparents did?
