Hhi about 750. Drive a 2008 bmw --bought for 40k in 2009---worth about 2k now and has over 175k on it. Wife has a 2017 Range Rover bought for 85k in 2019--has over 110k on it Also have an older Porsche that cost about 150k.

HHI 300k

1 new mid level Ford SUV (previous 12y old Civic with 200k died this year)
1 9y old minivan with 120k miles (which I hope to drive until my kids are out of HS (another 3 years.)

HHI $300K. Last 2 cars cost <$20K and were bought 1-3 years old. I usually keep my cars for about 10 years.

Unless Americans are really, really dumb with money, I don't believe this blog post at all. Who is dumb enough to buy an $85k 7 series on only a $185k income? That's almost half your yearly income on a car. I checked out that website further - they have a similar post for Teslas, claiming that your average buyer for a Tesla model S makes about $185k. Lol, who in their sane mind would buy a $100k car on only an income of $185k? That is absolutely asinine. Thst source seems way off with their numbers unless Americans are that piss poor with money. If Americans really are this stupid with money, then I have zero sympathy for crap like student loan forgiveness, etc. Americans are leveraging too much and living lifestyles they cannot afford while wanting society to bail them out for their poor financial decisions because they don't want to sacrifice anything since they need to drive $50k+ cars. A single person earning $125K is really different than a family with a HHI of $125K. But, then again, you knew that...you just wanted to make a sexist comment.

HHI ~$1M. Toyota Sienna, Nissan Leaf, and Jeep Grand Cherokee (primarily for weekend outings).

HHI $350k, we drive a 2016 Nissan Sentra. We live in the city and only have one car. I have no interest in spending my money on a nice car that will just get dinged up in DC.

Just bought a brand new Mazda CX-9 (replacing a 15-year old Toyota) and our second car is a 10-year old Honda fit that I expect to run forever.

Looking at car brand is silly as once you start adding features a lower brand could end up being the same cost of a higher brand.

HHI around 1.5M. Honda Odyssey and an old Chevy. Keep planning on getting a new car but never get around to it.
