Yes, you can post on Nextdoor, or buy nothing. FWIW I do puzzles occasionally and I don't care if a piece is missing. The thing to do is to put a sticker on the front where the missing piece is.

Your 12-year old is not doing an 18,000 piece puzzle so stop yapping and sit down.
