That’s great. And it’s good for them to have the choice to do so. It is also good for other gyms to choose NOT to require vaccines.

My gym has mandated vaccines all year long. I believe it keeps them in business.

I have a 12 year old unvaccinated tennis player. We do Junior tournaments in DC regularly. Sounds like she’ll need a vaccine passport to participate since they take place at health clubs.

Looks like we’ll have to take a break from the DC tournaments.

No. And it’s not a big deal at all if you are vaccinated.

Oh, that’s not what I read. I’ll have to find the link, but it was about how some restaurants are closing down again due to Omicron. The vaccine passport made no difference.

Restaurants in Florida however? Doing pretty well.

I’m vaccinated, but my 14yo son is not. Not a chance we’ll be eating anywhere in DC. Either NoVa or MoCo for now (until MoCo passes the same nonsense).

It’s funny that you added MPH as if that gives greater weight to your opinion, rather than further undermining the reputation of the degree.

What neighborhood, if you don't mind me asking. I'm going to report them.

Scientifically speaking... this is stupid. This variant doesn't seem to care at all if one is vaxed or unvaxed and infecting one and all. The passport does NOTHING to protect those that seek protection, it is a political fig leaf pretending to do and mean something. Anything. That it excludes those with natural immunity that have had the virus and that have much greater immunity protection (27 times to be exact) than us vaxed folks is ignorant at best. It just shows that in this county the science be damned, the headlines are so much more important.

Yup

People who are vaccinated can still catch and spread Covid. These policies do nothing but hurt businesses. They also make people working jobs they are already not paid enough to do turn into the vaccine police

This. And it stinks. Like with the mask mandates. I work in an industry that deals with the public and not a single staff person wants to deal with this kind of BS enforcement.

That is regrettable but the only other responsible decision possible would be to close most of these businesses. They simply can't be allowed to continue to operate with zero precautions.

The staff deserves vaccinated guests. I agree.

If that is what the staff or business owner wants, they should be able to do this.

Vaccinated guests can still transmit Covid. If you are truly worried about the wait staff, you should just close indoor dining again.
