People seem to have forgotten the true horribleness of the trump administration to even contemplate this.

Even if you had wanted a shot, you’d have been waiting another 6 months to get it.
Yeah, the vaccination rate would look different, because there wouldn’t have been a roll out.

Did you forget WarpSpeed? How have Democrats changed 'getting shots'? It's still locally managed. Last, where are the rapid test promised by Biden?

If "republicans" don't want to get the vaccine to pwn the libs at this point, that is fine.

So no early treatment? Wait for people to get sick and have to go to the hospital? How does that not overwhelm the hospitals?

It’s Democrats’ fault that Trumpers have refused to get vaccinated?!? Sure, dummy.

Trump told people to get vaccinated and they booed it.

But if you think what you wrote is true, then you agree that Rs aren't getting vaccinated to own the libs.

Dying to own the libs. Great strategy.

Don't blame Dems for the stupidity of Rs. That's on them, and their leaders and pundits.

Except the dead would largely consist of libs who wouldn’t get “the Trump vaccine”. Because Trump wanted them to, and they have to do the opposite of whatever Trump says, no matter what.

At which point Trump should issue an EO forbidding libs from jumping off tall bridges.

Sorry, "libs" aren't dumb like that. We knew the platform has been developed over the course of 20 years by the government researchers and private sector partners. We also know that early vaccines were developed in Germany and the UK.

Then why did both Biden and Harris say they didn't trust the vaccine during the 2020 campaigning? Because that's exactly what they said.

Given how so many people staunchly hate Trump it's very plausible to think that some of them would refuse to take the vaccine if Trump was promoting its use, which is what he certainly would have done had he won reelection. After all, he did start Operation Warp Speed and vaccinations were starting in earnest while he was still in office. There's some truth to the joke that if Trump told people not to jump off a cliff, some of them would do it out of spite.

That's a disingenuous claim.
Democrats only questioned Trump's approach on the vaccines very early on, when everyone thought Trump was going to cut corners and ramrod the vaccines through without proper clinical study and review. Once they saw engagement and process from FDA they were fine with it.

Now 91% of Democrats are fully vaccinated, compared to only 60% of Republicans. So your claim that Dems were vax-hesitant no longer holds up in any way, shape or form.

Trump quietly got vaccinated in secret, while at the same time questioning and doubting the scientists, mocking people for wearing masks, peddling sketchy and unproven cures, and railing against "lockdowns."

Rates would be a lot higher had Trump not done all of that and had he not turned it into a political issue.

How do you know he got vaccinated? Did he do it on camera to show everyone it’s the right thing to do?
