Boa constrictor. It was still a baby.

I brought in basically a whole grazing board of veggies, hummus, cheese, crackers, fruit, nuts in little containers. I really like snacking during a movie but it was during dinner time and I wanted something healthier than movie theatre food. Though I did order a cocktail to go with it....

I remember when I was a kid it was quite normal for my parents to go to the drive in with us in the back of the station wagon in our pajamas, back seat folded down and made into a bed, a full family dinner provided and why would we leave the dog at home?


It's obviously been forever since I attended a Drive In movie, but were dogs really not allowed in Drive Ins? Were people not allowed to bring in outside food? Did they really check for that stuff (especially the food?)

The craziest thing we snuck in was Potbelly's since they would have those deals "buy sandwiches/get your movie tickets for $2 off from the box office price" or whatever it was.

I remember once I was trying to be quiet while unwrapping our sandwiches. I looked at the people sitting next to us and they were doing the same thing.

I snuck in a bubbly wine in a water bottle. I had not considered the buildup of air in the bottle from walking into the theater. When I turned the lid slightly, there was an audible popping sound, and the lid went flying. I have no idea where it landed.

Not that crazy but I used to go to the mall and get boba tea (since it’s sealed before you put the straw in you can put it in your purse) and a bag of auntie Anne’s pretzel bites to take in.

I smuggled myself. I went to a rated R movie underage.

Back when Chicken Out was at Ballston Mall, I snuck an entire 4 course meal into the theater. Chicken soup, chicken pot pie, multiple sides, desserts, and a drink.

A guy who worked there could smell it, he walked around trying to figure out who had the food but it was so dark and I was in the middle of the row, he couldn't find me.

Not really smuggled, but...

xH is Federal LEO and carries his firearm everywhere. When they had people at the theater searching backpacks for weapons, he would try to tell them that he had one in a holster and they would always just laugh and wave us in, thinking he was joking.

Same thing happened at the airport once, he walked right by security with it. Not intentionally, he was trying to figure out where to go (he has to fill out paperwork for flights) and they just waved him through.

I'm a huge Bond fanatic, my tradition for every new 007 release is to wear a full tux to the movie theater and sneak in martinis. But not just a flask full of martinis, I'll bring a flask of good vodka, a nip of vermouth, a little tupperware of olives, and collapsible plastic martini glasses.

The looks I get assembling a full on martini in my theater seat are priceless.
