(Not to mention, just saying "freeze your eggs!" doesn't account for what a tough process that is on its own -- taking hormones to bulk up your ovaries and produce quality eggs, the actual retrieval process, the financial and emotional maintenance of having to store them for XX years, etc.)

Not as tough as trying to go through multiple rounds of IVF, donor this, donor that when you are in your forties.

4 years is unreasonable at your age. I would have been very upfront with him on that. Totally fine if he has a different timeline, but I would tell him I'd need to move on.

To actually answer your question, though, I got married to my husband after dating for 1 year. I would have been comfortable trying then but circumstances weren't ideal. In bad relationships I had at least an inkling that we weren't compatible and it wouldn't be good to have kids with them probably around month 6 to 1 year. So basically nothing under that would be my personal policy.
