27K kids must suffer because of 1 teacher who can be given other alternatives to stay safe. Makes 0 sense, unless you don't prioritize kids getting educated.

Huh? Yes vaccinated are excluded for NOW. APS need to implement TTS. All signs are showing that everyone is up for grabs w omicron. We need TTS.
Hoping Youngkin gets rid of quarantining close contacts, like in Europe and Florida and other parts of the US. Incredibly disruptive to prevent 0.2% of kids from getting a case after adults have been vaccinated for a year.
APS already has stopped quarantine for vaccinated contacts. This has been in place for over a month. Find something new to complain about. Test to Stay only impacts unvaccinated students.
Test to stay would also be helpful with the sketchy symptoms that can get your kid sent home - vaccinated or not. My daughter has been sent home with a headache twice, and a stomach ache once. Kids with allergies are getting sent home as well. TTS would keep those kids with normal, non contagious, ailments from missing school for no reason.
Hoping Youngkin ditches quarantines for our close contacts (after his interview this week, I think he will). Healthy kids need to be in school.
Why aren't you vaccinating your kid? Healthy kids can be vaccinated. There are no quarantines for vaccinated close contacts. If you choose not to vaccinate, you're going to have to live with the consequences.

We know 3 teens at WL on our street that tested positive over the last 3 days (not of same friend group). We also know a few at YHS.
It's rampant in the HS now...so I assume middle school too--though we have only heard a couple 'reported' cases via kids that opted in for testing.
