Come on. If it’s okay fir the nanny to grocery shop a d do the kids laundry it’s okay to wrap presents. The only issue I could see if she wouldn’t have enough time, but if you’re paying her while kids are in school, then sure, NBD to ask!
+1
I think the DCUM knee jerk response to "can I ask my nanny to?" questions is always no, and is only sometimes right. here, it's wrong. Totally fine to ask her. She might even enjoy it.

Glad I asked, she gets gifts For kids’ bday parties and wraps them often, but see this is different. Yes, giving an excellent holiday bonus, as ever. Nanny has worked for us for 6 years and is phenomenal and it is ever so much appreciated.
For those we said I can wrap gifts myself, yes I can but first,I am left handed and very uncoordinated so it never looks good and second, doesn’t it take you a few hours or so to wrap ~20 gifts and make them look nice? I can do most things but not everything so I try to ask for help. And with 2 kids and a time intensive job as a medical researcher I am always so grateful when something is taken off my plate.
I’m a left handed nanny and have zero issues *wrapping my own presents*. Never, in 25 years, have parents asked me to wrap their presents- and I’ve worked for a lot of lazy parents who dump lots of things on my lap.
You sound like a lazy nanny.

I don’t have a nanny and never used a babysitter. Good try. A nanny replaces mom. That is her job.
24/7 live-in nanny here. In no way does a nanny replace a parent. We support the family and teach and care for the child.

Anonymous wrote:Why wouldn't you? WTAF w/all the entitled people on here. If she is shifting her other responsibilities, why not? OP said nanny likes this type of stuff. My goodness,
Anonymous wrote:Wait, are you paying her while your 6 and 9 year olds are in school?
If yes, then yes I think it's fine to ask. It sounds like she is more of a housekeeper-nanny who does shopping and maybe other things.
If she is just the nanny and is mostly/only paid for when the kids are home, then not okay to make wrapping part of her duties. Possibly okay to offer her extra paid hours if she wants them.
