I don't think so. The reported percentiles are national but the cut-offs are locally-determined. So your score sheet might say 99th percentile but you still aren't 99th percentile for your specific FCPS school.

Does 99 percentile in COGAT make to the pool?

No pool mail yet. Anybody with similar scores in pool?
What was the COGAT cutoff last year?

Okay, that's just crazy. Something is going on.

I wonder if some schools individually opted not to have a pool at all? Maybe the PP whose AART said there wasn't a pool this year was correct (for that specific school)? No idea why they would do something like that but am starting to wonder...

Noticed the CogAT results on Saturday which came in Friday Folder. First timer here and not sure what to take out of this.

OP of the above....Chantilly Pyramid...2nd grader...i believe I covered all the info. Not sure why her V is low since the kid's comprehension is good but not too bothered to be honest.

I have no idea what a kid will miss out not being in AAP but I am not planning to submit anything for now. If not accepted, strongly thinking of staying put and let the kid grow, have fun and wait out another year. Less pressure on parents and far less pressure on the kid.

Wow.

Keep listing whether or not in pool, it’s interesting to see the differences.

To the PP with the lower NNAT score - my child got in a few years ago with a very similar nnat and cogat slightly lower than your child yet in the pool. So I think it will work out!

NNAT: 107 (not in pool last year during virtual, so didn't bother to apply)

Cogoat:

Composite: 137
Non Verbal: 119
Quantitative: 137
Verbal: 139

Currently excelling in Advanced Math, very driven and kind to others, so I anticipate strong GBRS. Thoughts on getting in based on the lower NNAT and nonverbal scores?

They all but ignore NNAT. They prioritize quant over NV, though NV over verbal.
