Jen has been giving interviews for over 25 years now. You don’t give her enough credit. She’s a pro at interviews and will NOT answer a question unless she wants to do so. Olivia Munn told a story during Office Xmas Party promos where an interviewer asked Olivia a personal question (pretty sure it was about Aaron and his family as it was during the time she dated him). Olivia said Jen spoke up quickly and told the interviewer, paraphrasing, “you can’t ask her that, it’s personal and nothing to do with the movie.” If Jen will stand up for others, she’ll stand up for herself. She’s America’s Sweetheart but very strong.

She is asked about it in every interview. She has a very "America's sweetheart" persona, plus the whole Jen vs. Angie narrative that has been going on for decades now, women relate to her as a woman wronged. I think she is generally pretty diplomatic about it, not throwing Brad under the bus as much as she could have, but people want MORE than that.
Personally, I think she was a fence-sitter (like me!) who kinda wanted a kid, but didn't have any overwhelming biological drive and had a strong vision of what the rest of her life needed to look like before procreation or adoption. I think she wanted to be with someone who wanted a child with HER, and for several reasons, that didn't really happen. I have several friends like this. They're like, "if I get married by 40 and can have a kid, cool. But I'm not doing IVF, I'm not using donor eggs, I'm not getting a surrogate, etc." I think she is that, but the media has driven this narrative for her HARD. I think it's maybe in the past 2 years only she hasn't been on "bump watch" everytime the paps see her in Mexico on the beach leaning over after some guac and margs? They've been ruthless with her.
At this point I don’t think anyone is asking her “are you going to have kids?” “Why don’t you have kids?”
There’s also rumors she had eggs frozen, no idea if true or not.

Aww so you think that if reported doesn’t type out their questions word for word you know everything they asked? Not quite how it works.
I suspect most interviews, not taped, with celebs have submitted their questions ahead of time. And when on tape, the celebs tell them what subjects are off limits. Many celebs have said we agreed not to talk about that and sometimes walk out of the interview.

Oh, and society is RUTHLESS to women without kids. Check out the thread on Off Topic. It may be gone now but you have mothers out with pitchforks saying that all the "barren women should be banished from society and shipped to Lezbos."

I tried for several years, used IVF, had a surrogate. I obviously don't have Jennifer Aniston money but I could have afforded an egg donor. But I was just exhausted and didn't want to live in limbo any longer. It doesn't mean that having children wasn't a priority. I was trying as a single and it was my whole life from 35 to 42. I didn't date, I didn't travel, I put my career on hold, etc. And there will always be regrets and a sense of loss. But, life goes on and I'm very happy.
I'd be furious if someone said that I didn't want kids badly enough.

I think at this point JA either needs to stop talking about the kid thing completely or do one interview where she's very straightforward/direct. She gets into these sort of vague, hinting answers that just invite further speculation. My guess based on things that she's said is that she tried fertility treatments, they weren't successful and she decided she didn't want to have kids on her own. So why not just say it? Or say that she thought she wanted kids at one point but changed her mind?
As many have commented, if she really wanted kids she has the money and resources to have them via surrogate or adoption with or without a partner. It's totally fine to say that as time went on you realized it wasn't a priority. I don't have kids and that's the truth for me-at one point I thought I wanted to have a child but things changed. There's nothing wrong with that.

I can see why she hates him now, and am surprised Aniston doesn't (maybe she realizes she dodged a bullet with a guy prone to depression who's fundamentally selfish and never satisfied). But she still has strong feelings about it, clearly, since she said being at the Friends reunion was triggering because it brought back where she was in her life in that final season. I do admire her for stating she never wanted to live in victimhood though, so good for her.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking Brad was ‘clean’ when he hooked up with Jolie. He even stated he gave up the drugs for the kids but continued to drink. Jen did dodge a bullet. And knowing how crazy Jolie is with drugs etc. imagine how bad he must have been for Jolie to pull the plug!
