+1. If you can find rolls, fine. If not, they'll eat the cornbread.

Yes. Especially with kids.

We have corn bread no rolls...no problem.

Not everyone like cornbread

Agree

And the texture and the way cornbread crumbles when you try to bite into is not substitute for rolls.

Go out a buy a thing of Pillsbury Biscuits.

Try to be a little bit accommodating to your guests

It’s thanksgiving- it’s a carb heavy day

+1 green vegetables go largely untouched at every thanksgiving I’ve gone to. Maybe a courtesy spoonful

In 30+ years of going to Thanksgiving and other food related events as an adult (wouldn't remember as a kid), I don't recall a single time when there was not enough food. A popular food item ran out? Sure. But generally there is way more than needed.

So…food nobody wants to eat?

Seriously. Just make peas and pearl onions to throw in the trash because that’s where they are going.

Kids love rolls. More rolls for sure.

I'd rather have too much and have leftovers (who doesn't love Thanksgiving leftovers?!) then embarrassed by allotting 1 scoop of mashed potatoes to everyone bc that's all there is to go around.

People will arrive hungry. Better have the iconic feast ready.
