They can “educate” me all they want but I will always call cps for bruising around the private areas.

Nobody said anything about the private areas.
Anonymous wrote:This is OP. I have never got reported elsewhere, and this is my first time ever. I am not from here (excuse my writing), and I have 3 beautiful children, and my oldest is 10, and this is my youngest. The treatment is similar to cupping (but not exactly like that), and it is used in my home county and some foreigners pay for this here. They are bruise like, but they will be gone in days and painless. My child has been feeling a bit under weather for weeks, but he is not really sick. So, I decided to do that on him to make him feel better.
DH tells me that I will be fine because CPS can google up the treatment (I did not pay for treatment and I did that myself ) if they want. I have done that to my family members (DH and my parents) and my other children before for years, so I know what I am doing and I am not hurting my child.

Are you a big fan of cups for a kid young enough to be in daycare?

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This is the first time ever I got reported to child protection service in Montgomery county from a daycare. I have a few children. I don't want to reveal too much details in case I am not supposed to ask/share on this forum or affect possible investigation. What happens is daycare did their due responsibilities and called CPS because they saw deep purple bruises on my child's body part. And, I left a note in his backpack upon dropoff that it was a cultural thing that's for good health (look terrible but actually painless), and my child is fine. I swear it is not physical abuse and I love my child to death. The reason I knew because daycare notified me about that. I called DH to tell him about that, and he is not worried at all. I am really worried about it. What will I expect? Are they planning to do home visit, call pediatrician or asking me to get my child checked out, or nothing will happen? Anyone has gone through that before?
oh, it's like getting a hickey?
1. Good for your daycare.
2. I've never in life received a deep purple bruise painlessly.
Not OP, but I have and my child has too. Cupping is not painful. Do some research before you accuse.
Anonymous wrote:OP, your daycare was right to call. CPS will investigate and, if things are as you say, they will close the case and nothing will happen. You’ll probably have to provide proof of the activity, and at it is culturally significant to you and your family.
They will guide the investigation. Answer their calls and give all facts and cooperation that they ask for.
