No. I like my weekdays with the younger one when older one is in preschool. I really want the hours on Saturday.
Why not get a nanny for the younger one and then on those days you will have the whole day to yourself. If you want to be at home by yourself, no kids, to get stuff done, you could also see about joining a nanny share that someone hosts at their home.
Unless you are picking Saturday because you are trying to get your DH to be more involved?

Do not let anyone discourage you OP.

Anonymous wrote:I’m a SAHM with a one year old and three year old. Even with my 3 yr old in morning preschool, I still get nothing done. DH works long hours and also is on call on the weekends. He’s a huge help when home but I can’t count on his help with his schedule. I never get a break to get my hair cut, work out, see friends, organize my house, etc.
I’d love a nanny for eight hours on a Saturday to watch and play both kids and sometimes just the baby so I could do stuff with my 3 yr old alone. Is this workable/doable? Is $25 an hour a good starting rate? Anyone have a weekend nanny? TIA

We work through school for half that, weird hours, and no benefits. Get someone doing museum ed and you'll get creative educational experience. Not everyone is turning their noses up at that kind of money.
Maybe. Not OP but in my experience students, including grad students, are unreliable.

To answer your question, you will find plenty of people willing to take a one day a week job. Try care.com
Not OP but how do you get your hair cut with your one year old? Or have a quiet lunch with a friend? Or tackle a big organizational project?
When I am with my toddler, I am truly with him. Outside playing, reading, making cushion-forts, finger painting, etc.
Life is about balance and while I do think she needs help (don’t we all?), doing every day housework with just a 1 year old is easy. Again, I’m not saying she can’t use help.

Thanks but I’m not comfortable with a teen babysitter. I was hoping for a regular nanny or preschool teacher.
$500 in cash.
