The majority of voters in DC don’t even have kids. Older black voters, who make up the largest consistent voting block in the city, don’t care about school closures. Get out of your Ward 3 bubble!

Bowser isn’t going to lose to Robert White on the basis of school closures. He’s worse. So I doubt she gives a sh*t about this issue. She might care if someone else came into the race who wasn’t supported by the teachers union.

I refuse to even consider the possibility of Trayvon White as mayor.

We need more people to run for mayor. Between anger over schools and anger over crime, there is a huge opportunity here for someone new to come in. This is going to be a throw-the-bums-out election.

yep. Elected representatives felt totally fine throwing women and children under the bus. That includes here in DC.

I mean, Fenty ran to improve schools, right? That suggests that education in the District can actually be something that can steer elections.

Really? I heard that something like 5000 people TOTAL voted in the last Ward 8 election. When you add the Wharf/Navy Yard to Ward 8, that's going to be an end to Trayvon.

I have to wonder if this sort of sexist condescension is meant to push women to the Right? There have been 1,000 threads about how this sort of language got the suburban moms to vote for Youngkin.
