Bowser isn’t going to lose to Robert White on the basis of school closures. He’s worse. So I doubt she gives a sh*t about this issue. She might care if someone else came into the race who wasn’t supported by the teachers union.
I refuse to even consider the possibility of Trayvon White as mayor.
Now the Council members….
We need more people to run for mayor. Between anger over schools and anger over crime, there is a huge opportunity here for someone new to come in. This is going to be a throw-the-bums-out election.

the OP isn't talking about a red wave, though. Just people expressing anger over school closures.
No one is talking about a red wave in DC. That's ridiculous. But there is a ton of pent up anger among parents over school closures, and some Democrat will eventually figure out that tapping into that is how you win.
They’d never win the primary. This is the problem with one party rule. It’s constant outflanking to the left.

Not in NJ. Governor didn't lose.
What you will get, though, is a bunch of right wing anti education nut jobs, throwing around dog whistle words they have no understanding of, in office who will singlehandedly try to privatize public school with special interests. Pretty sure that isn't the goal.
Parents need to understand the ramifications of a global pandemic and not just their self interest.
As far as I can tell, the ramifications of this global pandemic were that politicians were either a) feckless or b) craven and decided that it wasn't worth their political capital to keep kids in school, and that kids (and mothers) could absorb all the burden and also allow them to retain the support of major donors
