That's funny. I'm a Dem who just started voting for Republicans to send a message against wokeness to the Dems (like VA voters just did in electing Youngkin).

After the past 4 years, I have gone from a democrat who voted for Hogan to a democrat who will never vote for another republican ever again in my life. So I don't think the odds are too good for the red wave in Maryland.

Maybe she's extreme left in the real world, but as far as Council is concerned, she's pretty moderate. At least she's not trying to destroy police like several others are.

I am not knowledgeable enough at the local level to opine using your system, OP, but I predict that MD will stay a centrist state (center left or center right), because it's one of the most educated and wealthy states in the nation, these educated and wealthy folk have the influence to shape elections, and they are best served with a middle ground.

There was no red wave in VA. Moderates and independents are tired of the extremes and partisans. I suspect the same will be true in MD. Voters will do what they need to do to keep things level.

Baker is moderate compared to Ben Jealous, who he ran against last time. He's moderate compared to Tom Perez. Franchot and Gansler are old school and their time has come and gone.

If Michael Steele enters the race, I think he will win. He's very moderate.

Steele won’t win the Republican primary.
