I’ve seen people open their garages, get an entertainer and it’s worked great.

Just chiming in to say this would be perfect for my 4 year old also! Our friends have an outdoor party every February for their oldest kid and I’ve never heard a complaint about the weather. They do bring hot coffee for the parents

OP here!

Thanks for all the confidence! We booked the pavilion at our local playground for our December date. Fingers crossed for no rain/snow. We are going to do hit drinks and and cake and will invite a ton of people. Hopefully our friends and her classmates are as hearty as you all!

Both my kids have December birthdays (5 days apart, will be 7 and 5). Thanks for this discussion. I was unsure but now I'm leaning towards a bounce house at our house and some kind of craft-making activity, like slime, outside under our carport. Hot cocoa. If Covid numbers get really low, like the summer, we could move the craft indoors.

Mine like apple cider

Mine loves cold cider - I'm sure they'd like hot too!

Sure, apple cider would be great. The point is to embrace the time of year with special treats.

Put whipped cream on it and my kids would drink seawater
