You're still allowed to wear a mask even without a mask mandate. To see this in action, travel to any other county in MD except PG.
Duh. I know that. But it's not as protective for either party. Hence the shopping before all the other people's masks come off.
And, also why I don't shop in the other nearby counties. Went to a park near Frederick, and we when pick up some dinner to go, no one but us was wearing a mask. Our masks help, but it's not as effective.
Just pointing out that some of us with chronic illnesses will have to curtail activities so the antimaskers won't have a bother with wearing a mask. I am ok with it, saves me money, and hopefully business owners where I usually shop or pick up dinner will be ok with it as well.
Serious question: If you are vaccinated and wearing a mask, isn't the risk negligible? You aren't in a store for very long and you aren't particularly close to others.

No one cares if you want to wear a mask for the rest of your life. I, myself, don't get sick all the time when I'm not wearing a mask.
Me, me, me.

I legit don’t understand this. If you are vaccinated, what is the issue? If you feel you must, why can’t you wear a mask?
Have people forgotten that we existed before Covid? Have people forgotten that there are other illnesses other than Covid?
A sterile bubble isn’t possible or ideal.

I really think some people are completely ignoring the actual numerical risk associated with COVID. I also have a hard time understanding some of the fear associated with COVID, especially after being vaccinated.

Anonymous wrote:Masks are not a huge deal to me. But it is an inconvenience, and when community spread is low, so are the benefits.
For the immunocompromised, I suggest an N99. A very good mask offers a lot of protection to the wearer. You have to live with some risk, always.

I teach an ES grade. I have difficulty hearing some of the students. They are slower to react, or don’t react to me when I’m giving directions. It’s difficult to read aloud to the class.
You know what's even more important of why? Because you can still get and spread covid vaccinated. There was already a selfish teacher who spread it to her students. You really think that's the right choice given you could KILL one of your students?

This is an important statistic. We need to take account of eg mental health impacts of mask wearing.
