There were about 30 food distribution sites. MCPS has more than 1,300 buses.

They were also helping to prepare all the meals as the rich people didn't feel like feeding their kids, distributing, cleaning up and doing other behind the scenes jobs. You know, those jobs you aren't willing to volunteer for.

So they fired the kitchen staff at each school, so that bus drivers could take over their tasks?

Several bus drivers also double as kitchen assistants.

Most ES schools have 1-2 cafeteria workers. Everyone was able to get free food and many who would not have been eligible or even "needed" it took it.

They also had buses take food to some of the low income residential areas where parents don't have easy transportation or working during the day and couldn't access it otherwise. Not everyone has a car to get to the school, especially if its not your home school or a MS or HS not in walking distance nor can take off during lunch time every day.
