Yes because there are no big speed players![]()
Big guys wear down faster. Fact.
Sure. Guess that is why 3/4 of the players in the major European leagues are above average height?
DCUM has a strange narrative that all tall people are slow and all short people are fast. Always amuses me.
In general, the more weight you carry the faster you’ll wear down. So heavier person (not taller or shorter) will wear down more quickly. Tall people generally have a larger frame and therefore carry more weight, on average, but not always. However for short distances tall people with long strides and the ability to cycle thru those strides quickly will be faster (Usain Bolt is pretty freaking tall, for example). Anyhow here are the top 10 field soccer players of all time and their heights. As you’ll see, half are six feet or taller and half are not. So there is no real trend other than in the general average range of 5’7” to 6’2” with Maradonna being the outlier. And yes … I just started a top 10 players of all time divergent thread here.
Zidane 6’1”
Messi 5’7”
Maradona 5’5”
Pele 5’8”
C. Ronaldo 6’2”
Beckenbauer 5’11”
Cruyff 5’10”
Ronaldinho 6’0”
Kaka 6’1”
Maldini 6’1”
How tall is haaland
Tall. Really tall. How tall were Xavi and Iniesta?

The Rossoneri boss has explained how the rule change could encourage more attacking from teams if they were unable to spend large amount of time passing the ball around between their defenders and goalkeeper

So what do you think of this?
It makes perfect sense. If we do that, get rid of offsides and make the goals bigger, one day soccer might be among the top 5 most popular sports in the world.
It is the most popular sport. Ignorant

The point is that basketball players get to relax and get subbed A LOT. With that, back passing in Soccer - at times - is a form of calming the field and players down. I get the premise, it would act as if play would be boosted to the front, but it'll just create a place where defenders will sit on 50 and play there. They thought they made this better after 1990 WC and keepers can't pick-up back passes... now keepers just play with feet, but same principle remains.

Then games with scores in 150s and 200s would be the norm
it would make the game much more exciting, how many times to we watch outside backs pass to Center backs and along the back 3 or 4 for 15 minutes a game.
