This is a great accomplishment but if you think that anyone is jealous, you’re wrong. Think of the shade towards FCV more like how people treat the town idiot who buys a bmw and brags about it when they’re living in a worn down double wide.

Not a single poster here wouldn't want this for their player.
Congrats to the player and parents!
I’m a non-FCV parent as well. Can you tell me the motive behind the OP starting this thread? Then can you tell him how the OP would know the financial package a kid was personally offered to the family.
1. Motive
2. How does the poster know.
Unsure where your kid plays, but a commit to UVA would spread through our club like a wild fire! Are you kidding? Not only was this on twitter (https://twitter.com/TSJ_FCVirginia/status/1439901925206528001/photo/1) but any parent who actually attends a practice or game spends time talking to other parents. An overwhelming majority of parents *wish* their kids can play in college, let alone an elite D1. So, when a player is picked up from your club, 100000% everyone will know in short order. As for the financial package, this too comes with the story of who got into a fantastic college. Whether or not it's a "full ride" is secondary... FCV produced a player going to a college 99% of us would die to have our child attend. Raw jealousy.
As for "why they started this thread". Ummm.... this is not "SOCCER" thread? LOLOLOL
Okay. I feel like you’re overly invested in something you claim you have no affiliation with. Lots of clubs have produced D1 athletes going to elite schools. Have you posted on them? If not, why not? I don’t understand your angle. Commitments like this are no “shocking.” In fact, if you live in the world, you know which schools are scouting which players.
You should also know that any VA kid that makes a YNT roster will be offered by Swanson who is involved with the teams. This is where the best school in The country snatch their players from. This is why the midfielder from Richmond on the YNT has also committed to UVA.
As far as FCV producing the talent….they didn’t. She came from another club during the merger and was the team star way before entering the FCV realm.
Responding to someone who responded to me. My original post was "good luck". Is this not a NOVA soccer thread? The posted a UVA commit? She played 6 years with FCV? The jealousy is palpable and even more laughable, you're defending your jealousy as righteousness LOLOLOL![]()

Someone’s lying or exaggerating. No admissions decisions have been made for UVA yet. It’s September.

Exactly. I think the Non-FCV parent needs to start an "Im so jealous of others and disappointed in my kid" forum.
