This, I highly highly doubt he is flying in just to meet OP.
Unless he works for an airline. Then hopping on a flight across country is NBD.
Flying isn't that hard, or expensive. I think I paid $100-200 RT for recent flights to Florida and Texas.

Find that thread about looking up divorces in Virginia. There's some great advice on how to do a thorough background check

Go, just be safe. In spite of forums, not everyone is a psycho killer. At least this way, his IP is tracked and his id is verified if he sends you his flight itinerary. That being said the highest percentage of pervs are from California in my personal experience. I have taken many trips due to my job, so do be careful and public, and don't be disappointed if California men seem more "porn"-influenced/okay with rape/disrespectful. Portland or Seattle may be better.Anonymous wrote:I met someone online last week and just talked for the first time. He wants to see me this weekend and will fly in. Is it too soon? He seems normal but just find it a bit weird to meet so soon. Then again I'm getting older almost 40.

Did anything result besides sex?
It could have resulted in something. For example, I had been texting and phoning with her for 6 months before I visited (she invited me, I was planning to stay in a hotel but she wanted me with her). I liked her but she had one major problem--she was crazy.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Flying in from the west coast is strange. Probably married. Do you want a LDR with a married person? Cancel that
Yeah, this would set off all of my "ew you so desperate" flags IMMEDIATELY. No person of value flies across the country for a first date with someone they haven't met.

I matched w/ someone while he was in town but couldn’t meet before he left. We stayed in touch and talked on the phone daily for weeks. He had to come back for a conference and stayed with me. I didn’t get murdered, he wasn’t married, etc. We wanted different things out of the relationship and we are best friends now. Everyone thought he was trying to scam me at first.,
Are you an heir to his estate in Barbados now too?
