Well, maybe that's an overstatement. Was just reading about some other nasty type treating workers poorly and you caught the brunt of it.

Have they asked? My husband is a handyman and doesn’t use clients bathrooms even when he is working inside. His work truck has an enclosed topper and if he really has to go, he pees in a Gatorade bottle in there and then disposes it at our house. (Gross to me, normal to him.) Id be surprised if they expected to use your restroom.

+1 Of course I would give access to a bathroom. I agree with the PP that they can clean up at the end of the day. And they should be masked if they are inside the house anyway.

This is truly a dumb comparison. The contractor is not living at your home. When my apartment had a problem I have and would go to the nearest store until the plumbing was repaired. It took 12 hours, much longer than any contractor is going to be at your house.

I think it depends on the set up of the house, whether there's something like that basement access bathroom. If you have one, possibly okay. If not, rent a portapotty.

I think some of you are ridiculous. When you are out do you go to the nearest residential home and ask them to use their bathroom or do you go to the Starbucks or Nordstrom's or whatever?

I think it depends on your set up. We're replacing a deck and told the contractors to use the basement bathroom, which nobody is using during the day. Kids are back in school and DH and I are back in the office. But there is another house in the neighborhood also building a deck, and those parents are still working from home. They do they have a porta potty.

We're doing an exterior renovation of our house. This was discussed in the contact signing and we elected to cover the cost of a porta-potty. It was like $300 and just seemed easier.
