Interesting that she was so “intent” on being public— sort of like let the haters hate… but then, private again. My guess is that she knows this page. I wonder this too. At first I thought it was because she just got home from Me Camp but then today she's reposting stories that have her in New York City last week with Tyler. So it wasn't that she couldn't leave again. Seems strange she didn't want to bring her new man to meet her friends. And yeah that friend group is lacking diversity but so is every other thing Jen has invited Tyler to, like her Legacy dinner or that dinner in Minnesota she hosted. All white people but Tyler.

It's weird that she's also posting herself in a salon chair and posted herself at her house a couple days ago opening the book but then these other people are posting about her being in New York at the same time with her roots already done. Is she usually posting stuff way after the fact?

Jen posted a handmade card Brandon had given her early in their relationship, and he signed his name with a Jesus fish, so I am thinking he may have had aspirations to some kind of Christian work/ministry. When I saw Jen speak out her in SoCal years ago, she shared that his parents aren't Christian. So Brandon may have "rebelled" by becoming a Christian in college? I hate to sound reductionist.

I feel for Jen because now Brandon is with a woman who loves to party party party - who only has one kid and lots more free time to party and live it up. Vs. having 5 kids. Of course Tina seems more fun . But, I am here for a simple life, too, vs the Jen big big big everything big approach to living.

Branson posts pictures of his assault rifle and his big raised diesel truck and he’s 50. Perhaps rural Texas puts a wee bit more value on guns, trucks and big fake boobs/bleached blondes than other areas? Rural Midwest men like those things but maybe not quite to the same extent.

Showed their IG to my husband who grew up in the rural Pacific northwest who is now an exec in corporate America in wealthy suburbia and he sees the appeal of Brandon’s choices. Kind of horrified me but he thinks a hot blonde who adores Brandon and likes to live like him is a good swap for a narcissistic wife. Ugh. None of the trucks, guns, boats, motorcycles club, booze, bars, drinking buddy girlfriend posts made him cringe. Guess you can take the boy out of the country but not the country out of the boy. Perhaps this was the problem for Brandon, he wasn’t really wanting to be a social justice warrior on a global stage hanging with big name influencers. That’s was Jen’s dream.

I agree with the trauma bond to an extent. But not the part about rural living. I’m rural and I love the rural redneck life. But his truck is a bit much and not what I would call “rural”. I’m ok with guns but not with putting them on display like you’re somehow a badass. Whatever; different folks for different folks. I know plenty of country folk who aren’t d-bags. And I know plenty who are.

I’m betting they met out on the lake somehow and gave each other their contact info. He was probably checking out her IG and started to crush on her before the big split. Perhaps even more than that happened.
Even if his affair was with a much younger woman and then he met Tina he was no longer committed to the marriage and would have been open to new women.
It’s a crummy way to treat a 25 year marriage. His midlife crises is pretty textbook, except he tried both individual and couples therapy before the breakup. Most men don’t.
