Cuz he’s nosey and the valor marketing guy!
U11- what a joke!!
I could see someone whose kid has been at Valor since it started, or just playing travel soccer for awhile, knowing all this. I think Valor was on its second year when my child started there. I knew all this about AM and had heard good things about GP who had left for the job in San Diego. The info about CG seem pretty easy to Google. If you Google someone’s full name and soccer you can figure out their playing and/or coaching history pretty easily. Of course what we don’t have are reviews, which sure would help. People’s opinions about the same coaches seem to vary widely. Barring abusive behavior I have hard time knowing ok vs great. I tend to trust the opinions of parents on my child’s team who played high level soccer more than anyone on this board. I think most Valor parents are not people who grew up playing soccer.

I appreciate the compliment. Been with the club for a while. It’s four coaches, hardly need a PHD to know what’s going on and just trying to help parents who care demystify the garbage that most folks put on this forum. But sure, keep telling yourself that I am the Valor Marketing person. Whatever helps you sleep at night boss.Anonymous wrote:]Anonymous wrote:Untrue, just an informed parent that for once cant take the amount of misinformation on this site. There are some excellent coaches on the girls side top team. Cannot speak to the other teams or boys but for girls next year, based on the ones I know, U9/10 coach is excellent (good enough for San Diego Wave is probably good enough for DMV travel soccer), u12 coach knows soccer, (UEFA B, former pro player, 25 years plus coaching experience), U13 coach is phenomenal (basically getting an HP elite coach three days a week), U14 is the technical director (cannot speak to him as a coach). There are very few changes on the girls side this year, which is good, means Valor is establishing development pathways and stabilizing. A couple of the coaches I just mentioned joined Valor last year and has made material improvements to the program this year. There is still a lot to do, but it is improving. I am sure some parents not on the top teams feel differently, but what is mentioned above are facts, not opinion. Take it FWIW.Anonymous wrote:If you have a 2011 girl, you are good to go for next year.
Everyone else, shop around.
Only Valor Marketing Guy would know all these details on the coaches...who have zero info posted online.
You are very well-informed on all these guys' bios, resumes and personal histories for just a random parent!
