Thank you for your work. Serious question, were you not the slightest concerned when states we’re passing bill after bill curbing access to abortion?
Honestly I believed that there are crazies out there in state govts but I never thought Roe would be overturned. I was seriously deluded about the nature of the anti women contingent in the United States.
From here on out, any Republican judicial nominee needs to be asked questions about their stance on every issue of concern to the left, the questions worded VERY SPECIFICALLY and NOT be allowed even one single inch of wiggle room in their answer, to absolutely and uncategorically nail them for perjury and bring indisputable cause for their immediate impeachment.
That’s a pipe dream. Justices are allowed to change their minds. They’re allowed to be swayed by convincing arguments. How would you prove a Justice lied during their confirmation hearing versus arguments before the Court having changed their mind?

You think they changed their mind about what they all said was settled precedent? My goodness. I have a beautiful bridge that’s for sale, by the way…

Why do these bother you?
They willfully lie to vulnerable women to try and convince them to stay pregnant when they don’t want to be. That is immoral and indefensible. If they’re proud of the work that they do, why do they lie about their agenda? They know what they’re doing and it is reprehensible. It should be illegal to mislead people about providing medical services.
+1 Here’s the level of “medical care” that CPCs provide. I hope this settlement bankrupts it.
Horrible. I hope they get sued out of existence.

Not saying this to hurt anyone who didn’t want to believe where the GOP was going, but moderates are strongly tied to the status quo and in doing so, they allow flat out evil - like Republicans openly celebrating laws that will kill women and dump millions of children into poverty - to flourish.
Overturning roe is squarely on the republicans and they will pay at the ballot box for the destruction they have wrought.

As one of those people who was called names and denigrated as an alarmist loser, I’m glad you’ve realized.
I wish that you were wrong and I was correct. I just refused to believe that a right that we all took for granted and supported by the majority of Americans would be stripped away. And I am no stranger to how crazy the anti abortion zealots are. When I was in college, I dated a guy who volunteered as an escort at the women’s clinic. So I knew just how unfeeling and unforgivable the crusaders were. I guess I thought the majority of elected republicans would not go along with this political kamikazi mission. I didn’t realize the elected republicans were no different than the people harassing women at health clinics. Turns out you were right all along. Thank you for the warnings although they were unheeded by many including myself.
