You remember when the actor Gene Hackman died about a year ago in New Mexico? They decided that he must have died on the day his pacemaker quit working.
So why would Nancy's pacemaker keep working even if she is dead?


Pacemakers will record cardiac arrest and the events leading up to it (like a sudden arrythmia, or a slowing heart) and send alerts to a monitoring device. But after they record cardiac arrest, the device keeps working as long as the battery is alive, regardless of whether the person is alive or dead. Pacemaker batteries are designed to last years, so you can ping a dead person's pacemaker from the connected bluetooth device for years if it isn't deactivated properly.

Katie Couric chose to come back a few days after her husband's death. Each person deals with death/tragedy differently, so I'm sure they will leave it up to Savannah.


Katie Couric was off for at least a month if not more. She did not return a few days after her husbands death.

Katie Couric’s husband died of cancer. These two cases are in no way similar. The Guthrie’s mother is missing with no closure or answers whatsoever. Savannah is still in the throes of trying to find out what happened to her mom. Katie, had closure and there was no question as to what happened with her husband. She was able to grieve and go through that process. Savannah and family are not at that place at this time.


Each individual is unique. We can't say someone was able to "grieve and go through that process" or someone is "not in that place."

Defund the police had merit. The average cop is a lazy, nitwit, worthless welfare king just stealing six-figures in annual compensation and cashes out with huge pension after 20 years. They rarely solve any crimes. Anytime there is a high profile case, they fall of their face.

Annual budget of the Pima County Sheriff's Department is jaw-dropping:

Agree. Not to mention I'm sure the people who are subjected to these awful raids are also subjected to threats and invasions of privacy from internet "sleuths."

The truly sick thing is that Sheriff Nanos is going SWAT everyone in Pima county on flimsy-ass "tips" and still never find Nancy. PP here. My mom died at Nancy's age with my siblings and me around her hospital bed. We adored our precious mom, and I can't imagine going through what the Guthrie family is experiencing.


not only do they have to deal with this, they also have to deal with psychos like the people on the board and Banfield who think her own family killed her even though they've been cleared.

PP here. Looked up Gene Hackman's death and his pacemaker was still working when they found him. It's just that the pacemaker last recorded cardiac activity at the time of his death.
