OK, so who does and who sets the rules? In Florida, someone decided that it was may 1 for all of the ECNL clubs. Was that US Club Soccer, a statewide governing body, or an agreement by the clubs there?
FYSA, florida youth soccer association, applies to all US Club teams I believe. ECNL and RL for sure.

ECNL is March 1st in VA. Clubs can’t talk/recruit players until this. After March 1 it becomes open season
What happens to ECNL teams in VA after tryouts when it’s mid season? Do kids who have been cut or moved to another club continue to play with their team?
