Same boat. We'd be better off if they made Woodward a second WJ with the suggestion from RM parent above by modifying option 4 to send VM kids to WJ.
Yes, that option will create 2 WJ like schools without huge negative for any one.
You mean anyone except the Wheaton cluster left at 120% utilization, and Blair at 100% utilization on Day One?
The modification suggested by an RM parent above addresses Wheaton overcrowding. That’s why folks are saying option 4 with that modification

I don't think this will be very impactful. Yes, some people will move, but you won't have low-income people moving into single family homes, and not many UMC will move into apartments. Some will choose private school for sure.
People aren’t going to move. Stop with the drama.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:is there any kind of meaningful difference in, say, a FARMS rate of 45% versus a FARMS rate of 55%? Is there some tipping point that yields the best outcomes for low income kids?
20-25% is tipping point. RM cluster went through boundary change some time back and some one had research done on by MIT or some univ like that. BOE student member was the one who paid attention to that research at that time.
45% or 55% makes no differece. That's my recollection. I am in RM cluster but not the RM parent you guys are citing.
