That’s like the crappy side of the family. Lord Darnley was like the total worst. Just a bad person. Stupid, vain, narcissist, incompetent.

Thank you for linking the transcript, PP. I'm going through it and there's so much that is relevant to this thread. Like this:

TRUMP: And your president of the evening, chairman, or president, or both, who was doing a great job, by the way.

O'DONNELL: Weijia Jiang, CBS News

TRUMP: Your-- your associate, yeah. She was a terrific person. And she was-- you know, she had this big smile.

It's already been established that Trump likes female reporters when they smile. But I wonder if Trump even remembers when he was racist toward her (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/12/trump-weijia-jiang-china-attack-racism-accusations) or gave her the "quiet, piggy" treatment (https://www.theguardian.com/global/video/2020/apr/20/keep-your-voice-down-trump-berates-female-reporter-when-questioned-over-covid-19-response-video)

Why do these stupid journalists platform him? They probably make him less stupid sounding, and then he sues them. They all deserve each other, but the day I don't have to hear his voice or see his face, the better.

I'm also sick of them normalizing abuse. These journalists have lost all credibility. Sad.

They left in the part where he calls the LEOs entering the room strong and “very attractive.” 🤪

From the videos, it looks like he's too old and decrepit to get down quickly enough (or understand what's going on), so his SS agents *pushed* him to the ground after they got him up from his chair. Apparently he could not, like his wife next to him and so many others, slide from his chair directly to the ground. So he was first helped up, which is NOT IDEAL, then told to get down, and that's when he had great difficulty doing so. Perhaps he fell harder than they intended, but the protocol is that the protectee has to be secured at all costs, so shoving and bruising a protectee is definitely allowed in life and death situations.

Since he needs to lie to himself constantly to make himself feel better, that's probably why in his mind he didn't "fall". He heard the instructions, and is going to gloss over the fact that he was "aggressively helped down".

Me again. Vance was the first Cabinet member to be extracted out of the ballroom, because he's the second in command and alert and mobile. You can see an agent dragging out his chair from the table, and then Vance gets up and jogs to an exit. The Secret Service knew they couldn't get the President out as quickly, because they know full well he's very heavy, unsteady on his feet (apt to fall), and he cannot keep up cognitively with rapid developments. So an agent placed himself in front of the table, to block any shots, while they were trying to get him off his chair. It took way too long, because the President is to all intents and purposes, not able to help himself in such situations. It took at least three agents to try and heave him out of his chair, and since he couldn't run to an exit, they made him get down to the floor.

If you look at this from a security perspective, Vance is by far the easiest to guard. Trump is a hot mess.

What a bloated pig he is. MAGA proud!

If he fell, he should have said something like, "In the chaos of the moment I stumbled and fell. I'm grateful to the secret service agents who assisted and protected me."

How hard is that? It doesn't make you look weak; it makes you human and shows respect for the agents.

According to Oz Pearlman, who was performing for Trump at the moment and fell to floor simultaneously with his face inches from trumps:
He says the force with which Trump fell to ground was violent, and he imagines he’s very sore following day. I heard full interview with bbc.
It tracks because press had late call of 11:00 am and lid for day was called around 3:00 pm.
