The parents will grieve this for the rest of their lives, relive the last time they spoke to her, the last time they saw her etc. I hope they find the strength to live through this.
Huge lesson for all young adults and their parents.

On what basis? They don’t have a leg to stand on. Their daughter made some bad decisions.

Even her parents did not want this!
They are not the prosecutor.
I’m sure her parents would rather believe he tried to save her than any more unsavory options. His story may be true, we may never know.
The prosecutor must have reasons. Keeping him does not boost tourism.

Lying DR prosecutors. I don’t get their end game. The parents gave them a huge opportunity to close the case, at lease against this “witness”.

I don't really see any evidence that doesn't mesh with a common sense understanding of what happened here.
Who are these people who are so convinced --without evidence-- that he killed her?
The US needs to demand his release. If DR charges him, trump knows how return him there, in shackles probably.

If we still have a Constitution, we are all entitled to certain presumptions including innocent until proven guilty. He needs to be released. Where's US LE now?
