Many were asking but doesn't seem like it was answered. It could be "their culture" thing. Maybe they were or within their community.

May be against the resort, for lack of back up power, no security on the beach and bartenders not cutting supply after people had more than what their body weight could handle.

They are not the prosecutor.

I’m sure her parents would rather believe he tried to save her than any more unsavory options. His story may be true, we may never know.

The prosecutor must have reasons. Keeping him does not boost tourism.

I feel bad for this young man. He was drunk and stupid and so was she (no judgement, I cringe at the many poor, alcohol infused decisions I made in college) but it could’ve just as easily been him who drowned. I’m sure he already feels guilty enough. They need to let him go.

The US needs to demand his release. If DR charges him, trump knows how return him there, in shackles probably.

I wish the family had some peace and a body was recovered. This is insane i wonder how far a body can be carried by the tide. I wonder if they made searched beyond that area and went further down the ocean.

We've been talking about this for 50 pages. Why isn't the US demanding the release of an American citizen, not accused of a crime, being held in contravention of DR & US law (DR law requires release or charge after just 48 hours).
