Today the full House is voting whether to hold Bannon in contempt. I’m not sure what time that is happening. Tik Tok. I bet Bannon is on his Chinese billionaire benefactor’s yacht in international waters as we speak.

Yep, Dems follow procedures, protocols. The point of Trump was to blow all that up, and Bannon was the on the forefront of that. So why would he acknowledge this commission? They are like those Sovereign Citizens group who don't recognize US authority on US soil.

I actually feel like maybe we could learn a thing or two from their hardball. Don't go testify next time. Make them take the next step. See what happens.

Of course Dems DO go testify because there's nothing to hide. Republicans won't come testify because there is a lot ot hide. Not sure why they don't just testify and lie, though - it's not like they are married to truth or worried about consequences.

The Committee has Republicans. They also voted for contempt. Now it moves to the full House for a vote. There's no honest way around it, Bannon refused a lawful subpoena and has no recognized legal basis for doing so.

Any member of the House who votes against holding him in contempt will be setting a bad precedent for others in the future to refuse Congressional subpoenas and will be throwing away any teeth that the House has on accountability.


Though Gohmert, MTG, Gaetz, Boebert and the other members of the House Sedition Caucus will probably still try to vote 'No' and their spineless leader Qevin McQarthy will probably go along with it.
